Day 2 - up and down and all around

My goal today was to have lunch with a friend at the Indianapolis Museum of Art and then kayak down the canal in downtown Indy.

In the end in true Indy style, the kayak store manager decided to sleep in past 2pm and so I did not kayak. I think I might need to do more planning before attempting anything new. Everything worked out, however, as I walked for 5 miles and went to the rehearsal space that Nathan was at. As I walked close to the building I saw Nathan standing outside. 100 ft away in him texting. The text was for me, telling me that he adjust landed a role with the LA Philharmonic to premiere a new work and it was just amazing to find this out and we had a moment of eye meeting across the streetn in celebration. I certainly won't forget today, ever.

The most memorable part of the day might be breaking my finger at work today and then continuing to work for 7 hours.

I had so many thoughts today during my walk about ennui and why we have it. I came to a partial conclusion that our generation is made up of one where we study for more years in school then any other generation has, and yet it has never been harder for us to find jobs or find a place in the world or a way to use our own talents to give back. My Mum said that we need more gratitude and I agree, but there is something to be said about all our learning ending up in a 9-5 job or spending so much time making money to live, that in the end we don't live at all.

I wanted to say more on the subject but at am I am ready to crash. Thank you to my one follower. :)
